Why 1:1 drive?
1:1 drive means that the airend and motor are directly connected. This means that there are no transmission losses. Kaeser’s directly driven screw compressors deliver outstanding performance and make possible great savings in energy.
A prerequisite of direct drive is the availability of a matched comprehensive range of airend sizes from which to select. As Kaeser possesses the design, development and flexible manufacturing facilities needed, an optimally matched airend size is always available.
1:1 drive gives triple savings
* Firstly, there are no power transmission losses
* Secondly large, slow-speed airends save additional energy
* Thirdly, 1:1 drive lowers maintenance costs
SIGMA CONTROL
The compressor controller is based on a rugged, updateable industrial computer with a real-time operating system. 'Traffic light' LEDs clearly indicate the operational status.
Save energy with the KAESER SIGMA PROFILE
Every KAESER airend is equipped with rotors featuring the energy-saving SIGMA PROFILE. Manufactured according to strict quality standards and supported by precision-aligned roller bearings they guarantee long operational life and outstanding reliability.
Low speeds
Large, slow-speed airends operating at their optimal working point produce for the same drive power more air than small, high speed airends. Low speeds mean less wear and thus less maintenance costs.
Energy-saving 1:1 drive
In KAESER's direct drive compressors there is only a maintenance-free coupling. This means that power transmission losses and wear are eliminated.
Quiet and efficient radial fan
The radial fan's very low noise emission is due to its slow peripheral speed. It consumes up to 50 percent less power than a comparable axial fan. The radial fan's high residual thrust allows ducting to be designed without the need for auxiliary fans.
